In April, compensation for the placement of IDPs was provided to institutions, enterprises, establishments and organizations of public and communal ownership, as well as to private educational institutions. The relevant order was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on July 26. More than UAH 126 million have been allocated for this purpose.

In her turn, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk instructed to consider the extension of the list of institutions that will receive compensation. This will allow creating more places for IDPs accommodation.

As was reported in early July, Iryna Vereshchuk initiated a ban on the eviction of IDPs from educational institutions on the eve of the academic year without providing alternative shelter and emphasized the inadmissibility of charging rent by institutions from IDPs, noting that this is a gross violation of the procedure for providing compensation for the payment of utility costs for housing IDPs. The mentioned document was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 261 dated March 11, 2022.
