  • Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories: UN member states condemn illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to russia

A joint statement in this regard was issued by 49 countries of the world and the European Union. It condemns the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to russian territory.

The document was released in response to russia’s attempts to organise an informal meeting of the UN Security Council, where russians tried to prove the alleged “legal grounds” for the deportation of Ukrainian children.

The UN Security Council also blocked a video broadcast of the russia’s children’s ombudsman, who had been issued an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court.

“We unequivocally condemn the russian federation’s actions in Ukraine, including and in particular the forced deportation of Ukrainian children, as well as other grave violations against children committed by russian forces in Ukraine,” the statement reads. “No amount of disinformation spread by the russian federation can deny the truth of the matter, nor shield individuals from accountability for these crimes.”
