The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the Procedure for reimbursement of expenses for temporary accommodation of internally displaced persons within the Prykhystok (Shelter) project. Amendments have also been made to the Regulation on the functioning of the information and analytical system for recording data related to the compensation of expenses for the temporary stay of IDPs.
The relevant draft Resolution was adopted at a Government meeting.
The document stipulates that the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories is responsible for the Prykhystok project.
In addition, the Ministry has been designated as the holder of the information and analytical system for recording data related to compensation for free temporary accommodation of IDPs.
It should be noted that such compensation is provided at the expense of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. It is provided to homeowners or their representatives, tenants of state-owned or municipally owned housing who have accommodated IDPs in their homes free of charge.
The Resolution will come into force on 1 June 2023, but not earlier than the day of its publication.
The adoption of this decision will contribute to the implementation of the state policy on support for internally displaced persons.
