Ministry of Defense: The number of occupiers who refuse to participate in the war is rising

Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, posted 20 March 2022 16:41

- The so-called Russian “objectors” are threatened by the command authorities of the occupying units of Russia with repressions against their relatives.

- In the Kherson and Mykolayiv oblasts, the number of so-called “objectors” in the occupational units engaged in the direct combats with Ukrainian troops is sharply rising. Experiencing the real strength of the defenders of Ukraine and understanding their immediate prospects, the occupiers are no longer interested in easy earnings and the possibility of looting, which they were promised before the invasion of Ukraine.

Military intelligence of Ukraine fixes an increase in the refusal of the occupiers to continue participating in the warfare.  Aware of their future, the "liberators" also ask their relatives en masse to help them return home. The commanders of the occupying forces are trying to isolate the "objectors", who refuse to continue to participate in the war, from the rest of the personnel and keep them under guard.  The combatants are ntimidated by criminal liability and repression against their relatives.

- At the same time, in the territory of the aggressor country, after the relatives of the “refusals” addressed the military units, they are assured that everything is alright with the soldiers and that they are on the territory of Crimea.

‼️ We remind you that all war crimes against the people of Ukraine will be brought to justice. We advise the service people of the occupational forces to lay down their arms as soon as possible and look for an opportunity to surrender.  This is the only way to save their lifes and avoid repression of the Russian authorities.
