Ministry of Youth and Sports: Ukraine presented an innovative direction to the British delegation — technological sports
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization Vitaliy Lavrov took part in the presentation of technological sports to the British parliamentary delegation and experts, which took place at the Killhouse training complex.
“The Ministry of Youth and Sports is interested in the development of technological sports. We are now at the stage in which we are moving towards facilitating the organization of international competitions. Our British partners are seeing for the first time that we are using sports to increase the technological capabilities of the country, and everyone is interested in repeating this path in their countries,” Vitaliy Lavrov emphasized.
The event was organized by the Ukrainian Technological Sports Federation (UTSF) with the assistance of the KillHouse Academy and the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
“Ukraine is a global pioneer in the official recognition of technological sports, which prepares a new generation for the challenges of today. We will demonstrate how our experience can become the basis for international cooperation,” said Artur Bulygin, president of the UTSF.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize international partners with Ukraine's experience in creating a new sports discipline that combines high technology, competitive spirit, and practical application to strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
The program of the event included:
- a presentation of the Federation's activities and its role in the development of new sports disciplines;
- demonstration competitions with FPV drones and ground-based robotic complexes;
- a tour of the Killhouse training complex;
- discussion of areas for future international cooperation.
The participation of British parliamentarians in the presentation confirms the international community's keen interest in the development of technological sports in Ukraine. The expected results of the visit are closer cooperation between Ukraine and the UK, preparation for the participation of British teams in the first International Technological Sports Championship, and the positioning of Ukraine as a world leader in this field.
