Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting in Kyiv with a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radosław Sikorski.
Main focus during the talks was on strengthening defense cooperation to overcome common security challenges.

We also shared the latest data on the deliberate Shahed drone attack against Poland this week and discussed opportunities to intercept aerial targets," said Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, Ukraine is ready to share its experience in countering drones, exchange technologies, and launch joint ventures under the Build in Ukraine and Build with Ukraine projects. Meanwhile, Poland is interested in joint production of drones and long-range systems, including ballistic missiles.
Separately, the delegations discussed the application of the European SAFE mechanism for the development of the defense industries of both countries.
“On behalf of our soldiers, I thanked Poland for its consistent and comprehensive support since the beginning of russian aggression. I thanked Mr. Sikorski for his personal leadership in this matter,” the Minister of Defense of Ukraine emphasized.
