Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to make working visit to Lublin, Poland, on 16 July

On 16 July, in Lublin, Poland, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha will participate in a meeting of the Lublin Triangle at the level of foreign ministers from Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland.

The Lublin Triangle format was established in 2020 and is marking its fifth anniversary this year. The Lublin Triangle is a political platform for coordinating efforts on matters of security, economy, and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Minister will discuss with his counterparts the security situation in Ukraine and the region, particularly in light of the shared border of the Lublin Triangle countries with russia and belarus, enhancing Ukraine’s military-technical capabilities, strengthening defence cooperation, increasing coordinated pressure from the U.S. and EU on russia, and countering disinformation and other russian hybrid threats.

The discussions will also focus on advancing Ukraine’s path to EU and NATO membership, developing infrastructure projects, and fostering scientific, cultural, and people-to-people contacts among the peoples of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland to strengthen trust and partnership in the region.

The event will enable the alignment of key agenda items, the preparation of joint positions, and the identification of priorities for the upcoming leaders’ meeting in the Lublin Triangle format.

A Joint Statement by the Foreign Ministers of the Lublin Triangle is expected to be adopted following the meeting.
