    Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhuzen today, February 4, 2020, in Kyiv.

    The parties discussed achievements and perspective directions of cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure and international logistics, implementation of investment projects, the participation of companies from Germany in the modernization of the infrastructure of Ukraine. At the beginning of the meeting, Vladyslav Kryklii commended the high positive dynamics of cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the field of transport in general and thanked for a constructive dialogue in the highway transport sector.

    The Minister of Infrastructure informed that German companies could take part in the upgrading of the Ukrainian railway, the modernization of the electric locomotives fleet and other infrastructure investment projects: "We welcome the participation of German companies in the development of the infrastructure of Ukraine and call for more active involvement in the work on the implementation of investment projects", said Vladyslav Kryklii.

    "For Ukraine, cooperation with Germany in the field of transport infrastructure is of strategic importance. We are interested in expanding and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of digital transport corridors, road network construction and the development of convenient logistics routes connecting Europe with Asia, expanding aviation and motor communication. We invite German companies to work in all areas of the transport infrastructure, create the best conditions for investors and guarantee open and transparent competitions," said Vladyslav Kryklii.

    The Minister of Infrastructure also announced plans for the reconstruction of infrastructure in the east of Ukraine, in the territory controlled by Ukrainian authorities. In her turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhuzen acknowledged the success and progress in the development of Ukrainian-German relations in the field of transport and infrastructure and assured further dialog would be maintained.
