  • Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development deepens cooperation with German businesses to encourage investment in reconstruction

More than 40 representatives of German businesses joined a roundtable discussion with the Ministry's team led by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, and Reiner Perau, Chairman of the Board of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry AHK Ukraine.

The conversation focused on the participation of German companies in Ukraine's recovery and modernisation projects, ensuring transparency and accountability, and the use of digital tools.

"We are working closely with the German Government to attract German businesses, in particular, we have launched a programme of insurance guarantees for investment security.

At the same time, we are working to develop public-private partnerships to support the economy and implement reconstruction projects. Our focus is on increasing business activity at the regional level. To ensure an open process, we use digital tools such as DREAM - the State Digital Restoration Ecosystem for Accountable Management.

We have also recently launched a new stage of cooperation within the Business Advisory Group, a platform for ongoing dialogue with private investors and local authorities to ensure better business conditions and sustainable development of the territories. It already unites more than 300 businesses for systematic work in Ukraine," said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development is also currently working with the German side to prepare for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024 (URC2024). Together with the World Bank, the European Commission, the UN and other international partners, the Ministry has already identified the affected regions that will be key in preparing presentations of recovery projects at the conference.
