On 12 April, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a resolution expanding the possibilities of financing from the state budget to compensate for the losses in budgets of local communities that give privileges to businesses in the frontline areas.

The total amount of the additional subsidy for 2024 is UAH 33.4 billion, of which UAH 19.3 billion has already been distributed to local budgets.

The balance of UAH 14.1 billion can now be used to compensate for the decrease in revenues from a wider range of major local taxes compared to the previous year. This includes, among others, real estate tax, land fees and the single tax.

This support will help ensure financial stability for communities and businesses that are facing particularly difficult conditions as a result of the war.
