As part of the support for micro, small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, 37,017 loans totalling UAH 118.3 billion have been issued since December 2020 as part of the portfolio-based state guarantee instrument.
As of 1 June 2024, 29 lending banks were servicing 19,160 loans worth UAH 66.4 billion. The principal liabilities, which are partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, amounted to UAH 30.1 billion. This is about 69% of the total limit of guarantees provided (UAH 43.9 billion).
In May, 823 loan agreements worth UAH 2.4 billion were concluded, with the share of principal obligations guaranteed by the state amounting to UAH 1.2 billion.
By the number of loans serviced as of 1 June this year under state guarantees on a portfolio basis, Privatbank continues to be the leader in terms of the number of loans serviced under state guarantees: 12,828 loans totalling about UAH 21 billion, which is 60% of the limit of such guarantees provided to the bank. The second largest bank by the number of such loans is JSC Oschadbank: 2,902 loans worth UAH 11.2 billion (90% of the bank’s limit). Ukrgasbank rounds out the top three: 879 loans worth UAH 9.5 billion (66% of its limit).
