First e-auctions for the sale of amber worth over UAH 13 million to be held on Prozorro platform in late February: Ministry of Finance

On February 27, 2023, first 17 auctions for the sale of amber for a total amount of over UAH 13 million will be organized on the Prozorro platform.

Based on the decision of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the online auctions for the sale of amber will be held by State Storage of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of Ukraine SE.

All scheduled auctions will be conducted to increase the price. The starting price for the cheapest lot is UAH 3,000, while the most expensive lot will cost more than UAH 3,000,000.

Potential bidders and buyers of amber can participate in the auction from any site accredited in the Prozorro. Sale system. To do this, one needs to complete a short registration on the site. The list of all accredited sites is available at the link.

Background information

On September 27, 2022, the Government approved Resolution No. 1069, by which it set out the Procedure for the sale of amber from the State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of Ukraine SE through the Prozorro state electronic trading system.
