For the first time, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine as a contributing member joined the Steering Committee of the NATO Center of Excellence for Energy Security. The representative of the Ministry in the committee is Deputy Minister of Energy for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitization Yevhen Vladimirov.
He voiced the key priorities of the Ministry of Energy, including strengthening energy security, synchronizing the Ukrainian system with ENTSO-E, developing renewable energy, decarbonizing energy, transforming coal regions, developing hydrogen energy, and improving the cybersecurity of critical infrastructure in the energy sector. According to the Deputy Minister, Ukraine is interested in cooperating with NATO member states in these strategic areas.
"I am confident that Ukraine's strategic decision to become a full member of the Steering Committee of the NATO Center of Excellence will be a guarantee of strengthening the energy security of our country," Yevhen Vladimirov underscored.
