Last week, 454 entrepreneurs received loans totalling UAH 1.9 billion under the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% programme. Since the beginning of 2023, banks have granted 22,000 loans worth UAH 80 billion to businesses. Since the start of the programme in February 2020, 74,700 loans worth UAH 245 billion have been disbursed.
The largest share of loans was for anti-crisis purposes – UAH 60.2 billion, and for anti-war purposes – UAH 54 billion. UAH 28 billion was disbursed to refinance previously obtained loans, UAH 37.9 billion to replenish working capital, and UAH 19.7 billion for investment purposes. In addition, farmers received UAH 35.3 billion in loans to support their operations, while trading companies borrowed UAH 4.6 billion to replenish working capital.

The top regions in terms of the amount of loan agreements concluded are Lviv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia regions and the city of Kyiv.
Currently, 45 banks are participating in the programme.
