Ministry of Economy: Businesses received UAH 1.1 billion of affordable loans over the past week
Over the past week, 269 entrepreneurs received loans under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% government program for a total of UAH 1.1 billion. Since the beginning of the program (February 2020), banks have issued 53,400 loans to businesses for UAH 167 billion.
Most entrepreneurs took anti-crisis loans to the tune of UAH 61.7 billion and loans worth UAH 28.7 billion to refinance previously obtained loans. In addition, UAH 38.4 billion was issued for anti-war purposes and UAH 10.9 billion for investment purposes. Agrarians received UAH 25.8 billion worth loans to support their activities, trading companies took UAH 1.4 billion worth loans to replenish working capital.
The most frequently lent under the program are enterprises operating in the field of agriculture (53%), trade and production (24%), industrial processing (14%). Among the regions, the leaders in terms of the amount of loan agreements are Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv, Vinnytsia regions and the city of Kyiv.
Currently, 45 banks participate in the program, the largest number of loans were issued by Privatbank (22,200), Oschadbank (8,000) and Raiffeisen Bank Aval (5,200).
We remind that the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% government program allows to attract up to UAH 60 million at 0% for the period of wartime +1 month. For retailers, loans of up to UAH 1 billion at 5% per annum are available, which allows them to pay their suppliers on time and replenish their financial balance.
The Government has also recently expanded the program of affordable loans for enterprises destroyed by the hostilities. Entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to receive a loan for the restoration of production capacities at 9% for up to 5 years in the amount of up to UAH 60 million.
