Ministry of Economy: Ukrainians received UAH 443 million of the National Cashback in March

The Government paid UAH 443 million in cashback to Ukrainians for the purchase of Ukrainian goods in March. This is a record amount for a single month since the programme was launched in September 2024. The payments were made to 3.4 million programme participants who have accumulated more than UAH 2 billion in cashback and activated their National Cashback cards in the Diia app to obtain the funds.

Over the course of the programme, Ukrainians have received about UAH 2 billion in cashback from the state:

  • UAH 37.2 million  - in September,
  • UAH 119.2 million - in October,
  • UAH 232 million - in November,
  • UAH 714 million - in December and January,
  • UAH 384 million - in February,
  • UAH 443 million - in March.

What can the cashback funds be spent on?

The funds can be used by the end of 2025 for utilities and other services, books and medicines registered in the programme. They can also be donated to charity or to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

How does the programme work?

Cashback of 10% is accrued for purchases of consumer goods produced in Ukraine, registered in the programme and purchased at participating stores. To check whether a product is eligible for cashback, one can use the barcode scanner in the Diia app.

How can a consumer join the programme? 

Submit an application through the website or mobile application of one of the 20 banks participating in the programme - the list is on the website.

Specify the cards you use to pay for purchases and give the bank permission to transfer information about transactions on these cards to participating stores for cashback accrual.

Open a physical or virtual National Cashback card to which the cashback under the programme will be credited.

In the Diia app, in the Services section, select the National Cashback card of the bank where you obtained the card.

Important! To get cashback, you need to pay for your purchases with the cards you specified when registering for the programme.

Background information

The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the National Bank, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the State Tax Service, Oschadbank and authorised banks of Ukraine, and the Government Contact Centre. Mastercard international payment system is a technology partner of the programme. Visa, an international payment technology company, is the operations partner of the project.
