Ministry of Economy: UAH 10 billion in affordable loans received by businesses since the beginning of 2024

Last week, 339 entrepreneurs received loans under the Affordable Loans programme totalling UAH 1.4 billion. Since the beginning of 2024, banks have issued almost 2,500 loans worth UAH 10 billion to businesses. Since the launch of the programme in February 2020, 81,400 loans worth UAH 277 billion have been issued.

Since the beginning of 2024, entrepreneurs have taken out the largest number of affordable loans to replenish working capital – UAH 5 billion. Banks issued UAH 2.2 billion in loans under the programme to processing companies, UAH 1.6 billion to businesses operating in the high-risk war zone, and UAH 1.5 million for investment projects.

The most frequent lenders under the programme are companies operating in the following sectors:

  • agriculture (48%);
  • wholesale and retail trade (25%);
  • processing industry (17%).

Among the regions, the leaders in terms of the amount of loan agreements concluded are Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv regions and the city of Kyiv.

As of today, 45 banks participate in the programme, with Privatbank (37,100), Oschadbank (12,300) and Raiffeisen Bank Aval (5,400) issuing the largest number of loans since the programme’s launch.
