Ministry of Economy is implementing measures to impose economic blockade of russia
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine sent a number of appeals to influential economic companies and institutions with a request to take tough measures against russia.
The Ministry of Economy calls for the following restrictive measures:
To Moody’s Corporation, AM Best Rating Services, S&P Global, Fitch Group - to lower russia's credit rating to the lowest possible level, which will lead to massive repayment of credit obligations and make the russian economy more vulnerable;
The International Bureau of Exhibitions is to close the russian pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai and exclude Moscow from the list of candidates for Expo-2030.
To the participants of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade - to apply the broadest embargo on russian products or to apply non-automatic licensing to it, which will reduce the export of goods from russia to a minimum. In particular, steel and raw materials.
To the International Labor Organization - to stop the membership in the ILO of russia and Belarus, which cynically trampled on the internationally recognized fundamental rights, freedoms and guarantees that form the foundation of the organization.
"Aggression against Ukraine is a challenge to the whole civilized world, so we must respond to it together. All available opportunities and resources must be used to force russia and Belarus to pay dearly for their actions and bring them to peace.
We look forward to the prompt and constructive response of the world economic community to the unprecedented attack on an independent state in the heart of Europe since World War II!", the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
It should be recalled that earlier the Ministry of Economy sent an appeal to powerful global IT companies such as Telegram Messenger Inc, Alphabet Inc, Meta Platforms Inc, Microsoft Corporation, Intel Corporation and many others with a request to freeze current contracts with russia, fulfill service contracts, provide any which services and licenses. Today, russia uses a number of products of these companies to kill Ukrainians, destroy their homes and infrastructure, which is contrary to the spirit and ideology of the modern digital society.
