Ukraine demonstrates sustainable growth and advances towards the future because it has a clear reforms agenda, the stories of entrepreneurs' success, as well as positive messages about further cooperation from international partners. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the Third German-Ukrainian Business Forum in Berlin with the participation of Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. The Forum brought together several hundred participants - mostly government officials and businessmen of the two countries.
The Head of Government informed the participants about the progress of reforms Ukraine has pursued over the past 4 years. "We are switching to economic growth, the maintaining of public administration and the creation of a quality business climate to promote economic development. German business is a partner of Ukraine", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
He stressed that more than 2,000 companies with German capital are currently operating in Ukraine, they form whole industrial clusters, but there are still more areas in the state which require investment.
"We have a huge potential and we take advantage of it. Our task is to create high-quality business conditions in Ukraine as well as to enter Doing Business TOP-50. In order to do this, we introduce smart regulations and we are committed to achieving strong economic growth", Volodymyr Groysman said.
At the same time, the Head of Government touched upon the situation in the Sea of Azov. "The President and the Parliament have approved a decision on the imposition of martial law for 30 days. But this does not apply to business and the rights and freedoms of citizens. This concerns the mobilization of our defensive capabilities", Volodymyr Groysman emphasized.
According to him, this step will not have a bearing upon the course of reforms, especially concerning public administration reform and decentralization.
"We had several business meetings during these days. And I see positive messages. We also received signals from the International Monetary Fund about the desire to introduce a new program for Ukraine. We have signals from the European Union. We face the future with confidence. Time to invest in Ukraine. Your success is a success of Ukraine", the Prime Minister claimed.
