The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, within the scope of the energy independence policy, has considerably simplified regulation in the extraction industry, and now there are all prerequisites to grow production volumes. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman told in an interview with the Krayina magazine.

"We must extract domestic gas instead of buying for the currency. Then it will drop in price. We are currently importing half of the amount. And we must set, in line with the obligations, import parity. Gas produced in Ukraine should cost the same price as imported gas", said Volodymyr Groysman. "We have lowered the rent, and, the Parliament has imposed a ban on raising these rates. We have actually deregulated the industry. We have encouraged communities to receive 5 percent of their rent in the local budget. We have opened geospatial data that was previously available only to a small scope of persons."

According to the Head of Government, the electronic auctions on the subsoil use have become a great achievement.

"The State Energy Efficiency Fund launches its activities. These are the elements of one system: less to consume, more to produce. Here are our logic and strategy", added Volodymyr Groysman.
