The Government has adopted a decision "On the use of industrial waste in road construction". The Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk has told.
"First, it will allow for significant construction cost saving. There will be more roads. However, the quality won’t be affected and this is of fundamental importance. Second, we will significantly reduce the level of environmental pollution," the Head of Government stressed.
The PM added that taking into account the successful European experience, the Government had established the appropriate technological processes rules and requirements.
The Prime Minister emphasized: "There will be envisaged non-price criterion in tenders for road construction services - "Environmental Protection Measures".
Oleksiy Honcharuk stressed that the proportion would be at least 10%.
"The production waste will soon be used in the construction of roads in Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions!" said the Head of Government.
It should be noted that only waste that complies with the regulatory documents on environmental marking and declaration will be used in the construction.
