  • Nearly 100 medical and social protection facilities to be funded from subvention for community development in 2019

    Almost 100 projects for the construction, reconstruction and overhaul in the sectors of healthcare and social protection in communities to the tune of UAH 65 million will be financed as a subsidy for the development of the infrastructure of the consolidated territorial communities in 2019. The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine is the main spending department. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Lev Partskhaladze.

    “Over UAH 65 million from the subvention for the development of the infrastructure of the amalgamated territorial communities will be directed to the implementation of major projects in the sectors of healthcare and social protection. These include the construction, reconstruction, as well as planned and major overhaul of medical centers and other healthcare facilities, purchasing the necessary equipment for those facilities. It is critical to ensure that comfortable and modern conditions for both doctors and patients be created in the farthest nooks of Ukraine”, Lev Partskhaladze said.

    He noted that in the state budget this year there has been planned the sum worth UAH 2.1 billion as a subvention for the development of infrastructure of the consolidated territorial communities, which is allocated for financing more than 2700 projects in different regions of Ukraine this year.

    Moreover, at the expense of another subvention from the state budget - for the rural medicine in the regions of Ukraine, there is taking place vigorous construction of modern rural medical dispensaries to improve the quality and accessibility of medical services in rural areas. Inter alia, more than 100 facilities have been built in villages and townships across Ukraine. A total of 582 modern rural medical dispensaries have been approved for construction and financing.

    It should be noted that the implementation of this project involves the construction of modern buildings of new out-patient clinics, the purchase of necessary equipment for doctors, as well as the creation of conditions for telemedicine.
