  • Nearly UAH 47 billion granted to 8,750 agricultural enterprises under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme in 2024

    During 2024, 13,088 agricultural enterprises received almost UAH 104.5 billion in bank loans for development. Of these, 8,750 enterprises were financed for UAH 46.9 billion under the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme.

    Under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme, the largest amount of loans was provided to businesses in the following regions:

    • Kyiv region – UAH 5.7 billion (835 enterprises);
    • Vinnytsia region – UAH 4.1 billion (894);
    • Odesa region – UAH 4 billion (819);
    • Kirovohrad region – UAH 3.7 billion (1,112);
    • Kharkiv region – UAH 3.3 billion (516);
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 2.7 billion (575);
    • Lviv region – UAH 2.7 billion (626);
    • Volyn region – UAH 2.7 billion (464).

    The largest volume of loans under various programmes was received by farmers in the following regions:

    • Kyiv region – UAH 21.7 billion (1,251 enterprises);
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 7.5 billion (946);
    • Vinnytsia region – UAH 7.4 billion (1,297);
    • Kirovohrad region – UAH 6.9 billion (1,584);
    • Odesa region – UAH 6.4 billion (1,179);
    • Cherkasy region – UAH 6.2 billion (526);
    • Lviv region – UAH 5.8 billion (860);
    • Ternopil region – UAH 5.8 billion (506).

    As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the term of lending to agricultural producers under loan agreements concluded under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme for one year until 31 March 2026.

    Background

    Concessional financing for agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme in 2024-2025 is made possible with support from the World Bank under the Ukraine Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency (ARISE) Project. The programme facilitates access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are granted at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and the type of business entity.
