Compensation of 15% of the cost of Ukrainian-made industrial equipment: one year of the program's operation

A year ago, the Government launched a programme to compensate 15% of the cost of Ukrainian-manufactured machinery and equipment — a tool that simultaneously supports entrepreneurs and machine builders. Thanks to the programme, businesses and municipal enterprises can purchase modern equipment on preferential terms, while manufacturers can receive stable orders.

The programme is being implemented as part of the state policy to support Ukrainian manufacturers, ‘Made in Ukraine’. If a manufacturer can document that the Ukrainian component accounts for at least 40% of the cost of production, the state will compensate the buyer for 15% of each unit of machinery and equipment purchased.

Today, the programme includes 868 items of machinery and equipment from 39 Ukrainian machine-building enterprises. The list includes wheeled, construction, municipal and specialised machinery, drilling rigs, lifts, power equipment, CNC machine tools, pumping units and components for unmanned systems. The current list is regularly updated and published on the website of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

In total, 98 companies have already upgraded their technology parks under the programme. They purchased 182 units of machinery and equipment for a total amount of over UAH 617 million. Compensation from the state amounted to UAH 76.8 million.

In 2025, the Government expanded the programme's scope — now municipal enterprises will also be eligible for a compensation for equipment purchased from Ukrainian manufacturers. In addition,

"When the first order from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture on this programme was issued on 22 October last year, the list contained only 88 items of equipment from nine manufacturers. Today, there are 868 items from 39 manufacturers. The almost tenfold increase in the supply of such highly specialised equipment indicates that manufacturers are feeling the positive impact of the programme on the domestic market and are actively participating in it.
