The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development considered the Action Program of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and decided to submit the document to the session of the Parliament.
Nine members of the Committee voted in favor, one opposed and three abstained.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, who presented the Action Program of the Government and answered questions from members of the Committee.
The Head of Government noted that the Action Program contains 19 sections and has been developed jointly by the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada. The basis for the document is the election program of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Servant of the People party program, presidential decrees and proposals of the parliamentary committees. The main goal of the Program, according to Denys Shmyhal, is to ensure a decent standard of living for Ukrainians. The program forecasts the resumption of economic growth in Ukraine in the second half of this year.
In turn, the Chairman of the Economic Development Committee, Servant of the People Party MP Dmytro Natalukha thanked the Prime Minister for taking into account the Committee's proposals in the Program and expressed personal readiness to support the document at the Verkhovna Rada sitting, as well as urged the other MPs to "choose sides and vote in support of the Program" on Thursday, June 18.
