  • Team of the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development met with representatives of airBaltic

The discussion focused on the support of Ukrainian airports during the forced downtime, as well as airBaltic’s strategic plans to resume operations in the Ukrainian market after the opening of airspace for civilian flights.

“airBaltic is our long-standing and reliable partner: since 2019, more than 300,000 passengers have been transported from Boryspil and Lviv airports. Notably, airBaltic’s aircraft was the last to leave Boryspil Airport in February 2022, before the airspace was closed.

We hope that the airline will also be one of the first to return to our market as soon as it is safe to do so,” commented Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.
