The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is to raise technical assistance from the Government of China, which envisages the delivery of modern medical equipment for hospitals in Ukraine. On January 16, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine authorized the First Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv to sign the relevant agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of China.
In May 2016, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade sent a request from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to the Government of China to consider the possibility of providing medical equipment for hospitals in Ukraine on the basis of free assistance. At the end of 2016, the Chinese Government informed about the feasibility of implementing this project. During 2017-2018, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, together with the Chinese side, was actively engaged in the development and approval of the terms of the project implementation and technical specification that formed the basis of the draft Agreement.
After the conclusion of the agreement during 2019, the Ministry of Health will receive more than 230 units of advanced medical equipment for the hospitals of Kherson, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In particular, the list of equipment provided by China includes tomographs, linear accelerators, multifunction monitors, X-ray equipment, heart/interventional angiography systems, microscopes, etc.
