  • Deputy Prime Minister/Minister for the Reintegration of Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk held a working meeting with representatives of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). The delegation of guests was led by the UNOPS Country Manager for Ukraine, Gianni Volpin. A number of issues were discussed, in particular, assistance to our state in solving many urgent problems that arose as a result of a full-scale russian invasion.

    It should be noted that the humanitarian work of UNOPS is carried out in 65 countries. The main goal of the activity is the implementation of a number of projects related to humanitarian support, creating better conditions for people, sustainable development, peace and security.

    In Ukraine, UNOPS actively supports the reform agenda in a number of areas, including the rule of law, social protection, economic growth, environmental protection, demining and disposal of explosive devices, emergency response, healthcare, etc.

    According to the results of the meeting, Iryna Vereshchuk expressed her hope that after our victory, the UN Office for Project Services will become an active participant in the processes related to the further reconstruction and restoration of our state.
