Since September last year, regional offices of the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons have been operating in 18 regions.

On March 16, Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk held a working meeting with regional coordinators.

The meeting discussed problematic issues of communication between the coordinators and local authorities, the National Police, military units, and military enlistment offices.

The meeting also touched upon urgent issues of the legal status of regional coordinators, their mandate, and logistical support for their activities.

As a reminder, the Commissioner for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances operates within the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
