Iryna Vereshchuk held the first meeting of the Commission for the Audit of Damages Inflicted on Ukraine as a Result of russian aggression
On Thursday, June 2, 2022, the Commission for the first time began work to audit the damage caused to Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation. Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk has been appointed Co-Chair of the Commission.
"The task of the Commission is to develop methods to determine the cost of repairing the damage, in order to further, together with our international partners, make russia pay for everything," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
She also noted that the Commission should significantly strengthen the working group established under the National Council for Reconstruction of Ukraine.
In addition, the Commission plans to cooperate with the World Bank to attract international methods for rapid determination of losses and the need to rebuild Ukraine.
We would like to add that the Commission for the Audit of Damages Caused to Ukraine as a Result of Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation was formed in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of May 17, 2022 №345 / 2022 "On Determining Damages Caused to Ukraine by War".
