Minister for Veterans Affairs Iryna Friz, during a meeting with the head of the NGO "Electronic Democracy" Volodymyr Flionts, discussed the possibility of applying the best practices of e-democracy in the formation of the Public Council under the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

According to the Minister's plan, an initiative group for the preparation of the constituent assembly of the Public Council should be convened by the end of the year, namely on December 29. Therefore, already starting in January, it was possible to launch the work on the election of the Council’s members.

The initiative group must conduct preparation, receive documents of candidates applying to the Public Council, which aftermath will be able to work on projects and programs for increasing the level of social protection of veterans. Thus, giving the public the opportunity to participate in the formation and implementation of the state policy in the field of veterans' affairs and public control over their implementation is the principled position of Iryna Friz.
