Ihor Klymenko reported on the consequences of a massive strike on Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Ternopil regions
russia has once again targeted peaceful cities in Ukraine. They deliberately attack residential areas, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure. Their goal remains unchanged: more civilian casualties, more destruction, more pain. This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.
Today, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Ternopil regions were under massive enemy attack. About 500 rescuers and over a hundred pieces of equipment are working at nine active locations. The situation is most severe in Ternopil.
The situation is critical: two 9-story residential buildings have been damaged. One is on fire, and the other has been destroyed from the 3rd to the 9th floor. As of 10:00 a.m., there are 10 dead and 37 wounded (including 12 children).
Rescuers continue to evacuate people from blocked apartments.
"There are people under the rubble. We are working as accurately as possible—every minute can mean a life saved. I have sent the Head of the State Emergency Service, Andrii Danyk, there—I am keeping the progress of the rescue work under constant control. I am reporting to the state leadership," said Ihor Klymenko.
According to the Minister, aviation, mobile rapid response centers, Delta, dog handlers, and heavy engineering equipment are involved in the rescue operations. Forces from neighboring regions have been brought in. Psychologists are also working on site. Resilience Points have been set up, and mobile kitchens are providing people with hot meals. Police are recording every piece of evidence of war crimes committed by the russian federation against civilians. Tents have been deployed for victims to file reports and seek assistance.
The police may restrict access to damaged facilities—please comply with the established rules. This is solely for the safety of people and the preservation of property.
Three people, including two children, were injured in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
In Lviv region, firefighting operations are continuing at several warehouse locations with a total area of over 10,000 square meters. All of these are civilian facilities.
"Everything russia does is terror and death. Everything we do saves lives. That is why the State Emergency Service continues its emergency rescue operations. It is extremely important to find every person and save every life," said the Minister of Internal Affairs.
