    On December 16, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko took part in the Ukrainian-British Forum "Strengthening Trade Capacity within Political Cooperation, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership Agreements between Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland".

    The event was organized by the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine) in order to establish a long-term dialogue between the business and public service within the scope of the practical implementation of the Agreement.

    Ihor Petrashko noted that the signed Agreement on Political Cooperation, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland opens a new page in the history of bilateral relations.

    "We expect that the Agreement will pave the way for further deepening of our trade relations and will be a great achievement for our business and consumers. The new agreement defines the key aspects of our relations in the political, trade and economic spheres, preserves and expands trade opportunities with the United Kingdom, and promotes favorable cooperation with Ukrainian-British business," stressed Ihor Petrashko.

    The Minister also informed that the Ministry had initiated a dialogue with the British side with the involvement of government authorities and representatives of business circles of both Ukraine and the United Kingdom, which should provide additional opportunities for economic operators on both sides during the initial stage of the Agreement.

    Deputy Minister - Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka took part in some sections of the Forum, who spoke about the prospects of increasing exports of industrial and agricultural products to the UK market, and Deputy Minister Taras Vysotskyy, who briefed about the main aspects of cooperation between Ukraine and the UK in the agrarian sector.
