In 2023, state-owned gas production companies demonstrated significant success in their work, increasing production volumes and putting new wells into operation.

This was emphasised by Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko during his working visit to Poltava region, where he visited one of the facilities of JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya.

“This year, we have a goal to fully supply consumers with domestically produced gas. These are quite realistic tasks, and I am grateful to the gas sector workers who are working tirelessly to achieve these goals,” he said.

The Head of the Ministry of Energy noted the success of the state-owned company, which put 86 new wells into operation in 2023. At the end of the year, the new wells produced an additional 1 bcm of gas.

During the visit, German Galushchenko also inspected the results of the work done to strengthen the physical protection of gas production facilities – fortifications, portable protective structures, and also got acquainted with the operation of the remote control panel for surface infrastructure.
