Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko had a video call with Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Grant Shapps.

He informed his British counterpart about the state of Ukraine's energy system after the massive missile attacks, thanked the UK for its assistance, and drew attention to the issue of imposing sanctions against rosatom.

"The UK has been and remains a reliable ally of Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale invasion. I am grateful to the United Kingdom for its constant assistance - technical, financial and political. Energy equipment from the British government and business is already working in Ukraine and helping to bring light and heat to the homes of Ukrainians," said German Galushchenko. "We greatly appreciate your contribution to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine and are grateful for the UK-sponsored Clean Energy Innovation Fund".

The parties also discussed the importance of consolidating joint efforts in the international arena to impose sanctions against the russian nuclear industry and the state corporation rosatom.
