The Cabinet of Ministers has drafted and approves the bill «On the state regulation of activity regarding organization and engaging in gambling activities».

The Government counts that legalization of gaming will allow revenues to the budget up to UAH 5 bn, though final number of expected revenues transfered to the budget would depend on the version that is to be approves by MPs. 

At that, the gambling business should function, but in a transparent and civilized way - in specially designated territories.

The bill defines special gambling areas for the operation of casinos and gambling rooms. Definitely, the casinos will be in five-star hotel territories, and slot machines will be installed in three-star to five-star hotels. This will, in particular, allow for face-to-face controls to prevent the participation of minors in gambling.

In addition, the principle of "a responsible playing" is introduced, according to which the organizer will warn in order to minimize the negative consequences. Moreover, there are special mechanisms for combating game addiction (maddening).
