Selective justice and eye-service in the anti-corruption system undermine not only the ideology of this struggle, but also the confidence in anticorruption infrastructure in general, stated Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on air of the VITA TV channel.
He emphasized that the Government had done a lot to significantly narrow the very essence of corruption by introducing a transparent system of VAT refunds, introducing decentralization mechanisms and widespread use of the ProZORRO system.
"We are rooting out the schemes at the customs, we are reforming the civil service", said Volodymyr Groysman. "It is important now to launch the Anti-Corruption Court to return real verdicts. But I have zero tolerance to selective justice. I object to the facts of not punishing for the crime, but determining a victim and then inventing a crime. This eye-service undermines the credibility of the entire system. It is vital to ensure operation of the anti-corruption infrastructure and restore the trust of citizens."
