The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has stipulated as expenditures article in the draft State Budget for 2019 the sum worth UAH 55 billion as subsidies for the population. It is more than this year's actual indicator and is viewed sufficient to provide Ukrainian families with targeted assistance. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stressed on air of one of the national channels.

He noted that this year, the number of households receiving a subsidy amounted to 6.9 million. The following year, this figure will remain, as expected, within the same limit. And the compulsory measure to increase gas price, and therefore heat and water supply, will not affect the sums in bills for utilities for those who is a beneficiary.

"Such a family will pay the part of the service, as they have used to pay. The remaining amount will be compensated by the State", explained Volodymyr Groysman.

Moreover, he reminded that all social services had been commissioned to develop a balanced and considrate approach while addressing the problems of people. And even those families who do not meet the criteria for granting subsidies, but found themselves in a difficult situation, may apply to special commissions within social protection authorities.

"There occur different circumstances, and they should be accounted for. The main criterion is the income of people. If they are poor, people get support", summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
