The results of the healthcare reform offered by the  Government will be  achieved to the full extent in 2-3 years, but today we need to be consistent in adopting all necessary decisions. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said in an interview with the Obozrevatel portal.

He placed a special emphasis on the fact that the Acting Minister of Healthcare of Ukraine Ulana Suprun is capable to retrofit the system that has not been updated for decades. "Medicine sector has not been retrofitted since the last century. Ulana Suprun kicked off the reform aimed to change it.  She is a volunteer who came here to work and she is able to eradicate the schemes that have been existed in the healthcare sector ", the Prime Minister said.

According to the Head of the Government, all speculations about transformations, especially in the field of a new mechanism for procurement of medicines are groundless. "Now we are purchasing medicines which are prepared in advance for Ukraine. This is a world practice. Now everything is systematized. For example, for the first time in 7 years now, Ukraine is fully equipped with the vaccines necessary for immunization in ine with immunization schedules", Volodymyr Groysman added.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the procurement is centralized, through the UN, international tenders that cannot be combined. He also stressed his staunchest willingness to retrofit the healthcare system and added the process has started. 9 million Ukrainians have already  signed declaration with family doctors. After 2-3 years you the results will be seen, but this requires consistent actions.
