Launched by the Government initiative "Ukraine without smuggling" is beginning to take effect and will be intensified, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated during a government meeting with representatives of the management of the State Fiscal Service and the National Police.

"I want to thank for the synergy of all SFS subdivisions. This is important", said Volodymyr Groysman. "Not a step backwards. Legal businesses should feel comfortable. Gray schemes must be stemmed so that there would not be any possibility for gray imports to penetrate the market. "

The participants of the meeting noted that in the period of taking measures to combat smuggling, the cost of customs clearance for various groups of goods increased by an average of 20-34%, and for some groups of goods even more. The detected violations only in the last three weeks have amounted to UAH 2.2 billion. Among those are lowering customs value, smuggling, including petroleum products, sorting out goods, etc. However, there are no complaints from the business that legally works. The essential principle is zero tolerance for offenders, both entrepreneurs and officials, as well as clear analysis of the entire chain of product movement up to the final beneficiary.

"We shall proceed towards filling the budget. Our work will be systemic. Anyone who wants to work within the legal framework please enter, get customs clearance and work honestly in Ukraine", said Volodymyr Groysman.

The PM advised to draw peculiar attention to the issue of smuggling of timber and oil products. "In these directions I demand to intensify the work", the Head of Government stressed.
