But, in fact it is the responsibility of the local authorities The Government has done its utmost to ensure the timely start of the heating season. Gas storage facilities possess enough resources. We have supplied gas to all of the district heating companies. We do not create any barriers. It is important to ensure that all enterprises and mayors are working in synergy and efficiently. If they need help, the Government will provide any assistance", Volodymyr Groysman stressed.
The Head of Government drew the attention of the Vice Prime Minister Hennadii Zubko to the mechanism of such assistance. "I commission the Vice Prime Minister to set up monitoring for each region and to collect information every day. I would like experts of the Ministry (Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities) to provide any assistance to local authorities in case of need", he added.
Speaking about subsidies, Volodymyr Groysman placed a special emphasis on the fact that according to the Government's estimates, nearly 7 million households are entitled to subsidies. And groundless refusals to grant subsidies are unacceptable.
