Hennadii Zubko met with the United States Under Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko met with the United States Under Secretary of Energy Mark Wesley Menezes in Dublin.

"I have had a meeting with the United States Under Secretary of Energy. Among the key issues are cooperation in energy efficiency reform, further support of the World Bank, as well as the participation of IFC in the management of the Multi-Donor Fund and communication with the State Energy Efficiency Fund. For us, the support of the U.S. Government in the development of transparent platforms and energy consumption accounting systems is rather interesting and vaaluable", said Hennadii Zubko.

In turn, Mark W. Menezes assured that the stance of the U.S. Government regarding Nord Stream 2 project remained unchanged: the U.S. Government does not support this project and is concerned about the stability of gas transit via the Ukrainian GTS.

It should be noted that today in Dublin, the International Energy Agency’s 4th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency is taking place.
