The participation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the work, programs and procedures of the Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF) is of paramount importance for us. At today's meeting with IFC Access to Finance Regional Business Line Manager Rolf Berndt and Project Manager Ukraine Residential Energy Efficiency Project, IFC, Sophia Lynn, the parties outlined a further joint roadmap.

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko wrote following a meeting with representatives of the IFC.

"In the near future, we will present HANDBOOK for housing cooperatives regarding work with the Energy Efficiency Fund, which was devloped by IFC specialists. For 29 thousand housing coopeartives already operating in Ukraine, this will become a specific roadmap both in terms of technical issues and leveraging finance in thermo-modernization projects", said Hennadii Zubko.

Moreover, the participants of the meeting discussed the selection of the Supervisory Board of the Fund and related competitive procedures, the algorithm of interaction between the Multi-Donor Fund and the Ministry of Regional Development in co-financing and launching of the Fund’s operation, creation of a modern IT platform for energy auditors.

It should be mentioned that on April 18, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko and Head of the Support Group for Ukraine at European Commission Peter Wagner signed a EUR 50 million Agreement on financing of the Energy Efficiency Fund.

On April 21, 2018 in Washington, the European Union, the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, and the Government of Germany signed an agreement to establish a Multi-Donor Fund to co-finance the Ukrainian Energy Efficiency Fund.

The agreement aims to help Ukraine reduce energy consumption in the residential sector and cut greenhouse gas emissions.

The Multi-Donor Fund will, together with the Energy Efficiency Fund of Ukraine, be the source of co-financing of energy efficiency projects in multi-apartment buildings in Ukraine and provide expert support for development of the market.
