July 9, a legislative decision of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe on providing Ukraine with the fourth macro-financial assistance worth €1 billion came into effect.

On July 6, 2018, the relevant decision was published in the Official Journal of the EU. According to the procedure, the decision comes into force on the third day after its publication, thus, on July 9, 2018.

Official negotiations on the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding between Ukraine and the European Union  and the definition of conditions of the fourth EU macro-financial assistance will begin shortly.
