The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine has met another benchmark under Ukraine's Plan within the Ukraine Facility — this time in the area of energy efficiency, worth EUR 60 million.

What's changed? Ukraine's energy efficiency requirements for buildings and appliances are being brought into line with EU legislation.

Ecodesign and energy labelling requirements for appliances have been updated, and new standards for nearly zero-energy buildings have been approved.

Indicator 10.16 has been fully met, within the timeframe set out in Ukraine's Plan.

"Behind these technical measures lies a very practical outcome: buildings and appliances will consume less energy, and Ukraine's requirements are gradually becoming part of shared European rules," said Vitalii Bezhin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine.
