The level of damage to the energy infrastructure is much higher this year, and power engineers are working to increase generation, transmission capacity and provide Ukrainians with electricity.

"The level of damage this year is much higher. That is why today we are talking about the largest campaign even compared to last year. And it is very important that we have a common understanding here - both state-owned and private companies. That is, we are all working as one to increase generation volumes to ensure the ability to transmit electricity and provide Ukrainians with light," said German Galushchenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine, in an interview with the national marathon Yedyni Novyny (United News).

He noted that, thanks to joint efforts, Ukraine was ready for a stable heating season, and the only factor that can significantly affect the situation was further massive shelling of infrastructure facilities and their impact on the power system. And the operation of the power system will be modelled depending on this.

German Galushchenko stressed that air defence was the most reliable protection for the energy sector. "The more efficiently it works, the more stable situation we will have to get through the winter. Therefore, this is a rather critical issue. I want the supply processes or publicly declared promises to be implemented as soon as possible," the Minister added.
