On October 19, Helsinki, Finland, will host an international conference dedicated to the eighth point of the Ukrainian Peace Formula “Environmental Security”.

The conference is organized by Finland, which, together with Germany and Bulgaria, co-chairs the working group on Point 8 of the Peace Formula “Environmental Security”. High-level officials from Ukraine, Finland and other countries are expected to participate in the event.

Key topics for discussion include:

• Assessment of the environmental impact of military operations.
• Ensuring accountability for environmental crimes.
• Post-war restoration of ecosystems.
• Ensuring environmental sustainability and resilience.

This conference aims to expand support for Point 8 of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula among foreign states and international organizations, as well as to identify further joint steps for its implementation.
