Two power engineers injured in Chernihiv region due to an explosive accident; electricity generation from renewable sources was limited
POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Yesterday, due to grid restrictions on the transmission system operator’s lines, outage schedules were applied in Kharkiv region, and the restrictions are still in effect today.
Due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, the increased generation of electricity by SPPs, the transmission system operator limited the production of electricity from renewable sources.
Currently, Ukraine’s power system is operating in a stable and balanced manner.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
This morning, a vehicle of Chernihivoblenergo’s team hit an explosive device while on duty. Two electricians were injured. The police were called to the scene, the circumstances are being investigated.
NETWORK STATUS
Due to technical reasons, equipment at a high-voltage substation in Mykolaiv region was disconnected, resulting in a power outage for household consumers, which was later restored.
A substation in Chernihiv region lost power due to the disconnection of a high-voltage overhead line. Residential and industrial consumers were left without electricity. Everyone has been supplied with power.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased to 15.47 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant. All units of the temporarily occupied plant are in a “cold shutdown” state.
