Additional payments from the WFP for pensioners, persons without the right to pension and people with disabilities extended until the end of July: Ministry of Social Policy
Since August 2023, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Pension Fund and the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) have initiated a joint project to join forces to provide Ukrainian citizens with cash assistance from international humanitarian organizations.
Since then, Ukrainians from the most vulnerable categories living in the areas of active or possible hostilities, with low incomes and not receiving other financial assistance from international organizations have been eligible to receive additional financial support.
We would like to inform you that with the support of WFP, additional payments for pensioners, people without the right to a pension, and people with disabilities have been extended for another 2 months - until the end of July.
Thanks to this program, more than 315,000 Ukrainians receive about UAH 216 million per month. In total, since the start of the project, WFP has provided assistance to vulnerable Ukrainians worth more than UAH 5 billion.
The amount of assistance is the difference between the pension (or social payment) that a person already has and UAH 3,250. That is, if a social payment is, for example, UAH 2,700, a person receives another UAH 550 in additional assistance from WFP.
The recipients of the aid do not need to apply for additional assistance. It will be paid in the same way a person already receives a pension or social benefits (to a bank card or through Ukrposhta).
