  • We must prepare in advance for the de-occupation and reintegration of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, says Iryna Vereshchuk

    Today, in Dnipro, Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, held a meeting with the leadership of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The meeting focused on immediate action plans to stabilise and reintegrate the regions after their de-occupation.

    Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, and Artem Lysohor, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported on the state of preparations.

    These include the establishment of coordination bodies and the preparation of priority action plans for the stabilisation and reintegration of the de-occupied territories.

    Detailed plans are being developed in the following areas: security, restoration of the work of state authorities, humanitarian response, medical response, restoration of infrastructure, economy, social protection, etc.

    “Donetsk and Luhansk regions have been the hardest hit by the russian aggression. Therefore, one of the key tasks will be to restore critical infrastructure. The support of our international partners will be important here,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
